The results of my shopping!

Hi everyone!
I have done a bit of shopping over the past couple of days for craft supplies to use when decorating my filofax when it arrives next week. So I thought I ought to share with you what I have bought so far and if you have any ideas of how I should use these when decorating my filofax, or anything else I really ought to buy then please let me know!

(please excuse the post-its, the washi tape kept rolling away!)

The Washi Tape above I got from Imagine If in Morrinsville and I love them!!! I am quite a steampunk fan so I love this navy tape with the cogs on it - I plan on using this in my personal section. The pale blue tape with clouds and pink hearts I got primarily because it was super cute! My favourite colour is purple so I couldn't turn down that one! And the final washi tape I love because of the ruler pattern, which was look awesome in my school section! Thank you to my amazing Mum for buying these for me!!

Next I went to the Warehouse (for you Americans that's like Walmart) where I ended up buying more washi tape even though that isn't what I went in there for. The top four gold/white and black/white washi tapes came in a set and I couldn't turn them down when they were only $5! Again I like the pink one on the left because of the ruler patter which will look great in my school section, as will the middle one with the letters of the alphabet on it. The final one I got simply because I loved the look of it. In person it is much more red than pink (not sure why it looks so different in this photo) so it will match the red cover of my filofax nicely.

This pile of goodies came from the $2+ store behind chartwell which is every teacher's dream store! I already have several sets of stickers books specifically designed for teachers which I will probably be using in my planner too. Anyway, I got the case on the left to hold everything in that I will be using with my filofax. As far as stickers go I restricted myself to these four, 750 stickers with reward words on them. I like using stickers like these to motivate myself sometimes too! 2 different sets of heart stickers which are done in the same style and these incredibly cute frog stickers! Frogs aren't necessarily my thing but they were too cute to pass up! More post its, of course, because you can never have enough of those! And some large paper clips with butterflies and flowers on the top to bookmark different pages in my planner.

Lastly, I went to the Warehouse Stationary and got some twink (for all those cancelled or postponed plans!) and 2 Paper Mate Inkjoy pens. I had heard good things about these pens from other bloggers and YouTubers so I am trusting their word and trying them myself! What I really wanted instead of pens and twink were a few erasable pens, but I haven't had any luck finding any yet so I might have to keep a pencil handy too for those plans that are likely to change.

Anyway, that has been my shopping so far! Let me know if you have any ideas on how I can best use these materials, or anything else I should buy to add to my collection.
I will let you all know when my filofax arrives next week and share some of my decorating with you then!

See you all again soon,
Larry xx

Welcome!

Hi everyone! I'm Larry, a beginning teacher from New Zealand!

I am almost finished my postgraduate diploma in primary teaching and thought this would be a great time to start a blog as I am currently in the process of applying for jobs, hopefully going to interviews and generally getting ready for my first teaching job. I hope that you will share this journey with me and hopefully we can share our stories and ever increasing wisdom with each other!

I have also just bought my first filofax, so I can't wait for that to arrive and share it with you! It is a Filofax Domino, A5 in red. This will become my teacher planner for my final practicum and hopefully for teaching next year as well. I am so looking forward to getting my craft on when that arrives!

That is probably all for now. I hope you enjoy this blog and I will post again soon about my thoughts on writing a CV and applying for teaching positions!

Ka kite (see you) for now,
